WAMALUG: Event: October 2, 2004: Fall for Fairfax

Fairfax County Government Center
12000 Government Center Parkway
Fairfax, Virginia

Christina made the original announcement of our appearance at the event to lugnet.org.us.wamalug:

Every AFOL regardless of membership in WAMALUG is invited to bring something to show, and all themes are encouraged, from castle, to trains and town, to space, to pirates and everything in-between! This is a great opportunity to show off our creations to kids of all ages. Everyone is welcome to participate whether you have been to a WAMALUG meeting before or not.

The LEGO® website included the event in its listing of upcoming activities, but the detailed description did not manage to get the name of the club right or credit Abe Friedman for the photograph of Aaron Sneary’s Duck of Doom.

WAMALUG has displayed at Fall for Fairfax previously:

Some creations in this day’s display were constructed for a previous holiday-themed activity.

A portion of Steve DeCraemer’s cathedral was previously seen at the October 2002 meeting.

In a follow-up as the 10717th message to the mailing list, Christina reported that Fall for Fairfax estimated about 25,000 attendees.
