WAMALUG: Meeting: October 13, 2002

George Mason University
Arlington Original Building
Room 257
3401 North Fairfax Drive
Arlington, Virginia

Constantine made the original announcement of the meeting on lugnet.org.us.wamalug and in the 9649th message to the mailing list.

Michael brought a Mosaic of Tweety Bird…

…and also had a Spybotics set, which Claudia joined in exploring.

Tom built ATSF cars from the two sets 10022 and 10025 and was later induced to apply a label with the logo of WamaLTC at the back of the observation car.

Bob had a couple of works-in-progress according to the Moonbase module standards (one had a large door that lifted)…

Bob had also redone the 8466 4x4 Off-Roader in as many panels in silver as possible.

Constantine had the ATSF consist of A-B-B-A and five cars and another style of billboard more in keeping with toy tradition.

Jeff had the new Harry Potter sets ( 4726 , 4727 , 4728 , 4729 , 4730 , 4731 , 4733 , 4735 ).

Marian had her own copy of 4728 to hold her attention.

Greg offered several buildings, including a corner grocery with vegetables and fruits on display in crates on the sidewalk.

Constantine also built a 3420 Championship Challenge II as a check on what pieces were missing from his purchase the last week of Ames’ operation.

Joe identified himself as a reporter for a local paper and found most everyone ready to talk at length.

Maelee and Jim, joining us again from afar, had a number of 6-legged walkers and a fighter vehicle.

Steve had a huge cathedral front pretty much all in gray along with panoramic photographs from when it was complete.

Cletus.

Two generations of laptops at work on our financial condition.

Greg, the sole board member in attendance.

We managed to cover for the absence of the director of Public Relations and the Bookkeeper and reconcile the books (if not everyone’s memory) and elected a new-ish slate of Directors (it amounts to two officers swapping places).
